Mary's Musings About Life with FASD- Week 5- The Trouble with Being Invisible in Your Teens With FASD
In today's blog, Mary shares the real, heart-wrenching truth about our teens living with FASD and what they face daily in high school from their peers who bully, harass and even assault on school property & off school property when schools do not provide supervision, and how incredibly little is actually done by our school boards to keep our most vulnerable students safe. Just because our teens living with FASD look and talk normal, does not mean that these grave school issues should be reduced to simple suspensions for the perpetrators of these attacks. We must advocate that the Safe School policies be implemented to the fullest to stop these events from continuing to occur.
